Coast to coast
Miami freight, coast to coast

What it costs
Bevor es Hialeah Gardens verlässt
Ein Lager in Hialeah Gardens, über 50 Laderampen
A full truckload is built here first, in Hialeah Gardens. Palletize, consolidate, wrap and load out of the warehouse, so what rolls out is one clean sealed trailer instead of a half-loaded guess. If you are shipping loose freight rather than a container, this is where it becomes a load.
Fragen
Klare Antworten
Which states do the long-haul lanes cover?
The written lanes are California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, New York, Illinois and Georgia, which is where most of the freight leaving South Florida is actually headed. Full truckload runs to the rest of the 48 as well; those seven simply have enough traffic to be worth answering in detail. If your state is not on the list, it is still a lane, so send the pickup and the delivery and it gets quoted the same way.
How is a coast to coast lane priced?
As a lane and as a load, never by a published per-mile figure. The same distance costs differently depending on the weight, the trailer, whether either end drops or lives, how tight the delivery window is and what is available to load for the trip back. That is why no rates appear on this page. Send the two addresses, the windows, the weight and the commodity and you get a number for that load.
Do these lanes run in both directions?
Yes, and each direction is quoted as its own load on its own rate rather than as a cheap seat on a truck that happens to be going back. California, Texas, Illinois and New York all send freight to Florida constantly, and a load moving that way is planned from its own pickup window rather than squeezed around someone else's. If you have freight going both ways, send both sides and the turn gets planned together.
Can a long-haul lane run in a reefer or on a flatbed?
Yes. Most of this freight goes in a 53 ft dry van, which carries about 45,000 lb and closes at both ends. Temperature-controlled freight goes in a reefer, which carries about 44,000 lb in the same footprint because of the unit, its fuel and the insulation. Anything that loads from the side or the top, or stands taller than a van, goes on open deck. Say which at the request stage, not at the dock.
Was ist der last free day?
