Transit times run roughly two to six days depending on distance, and that is typical drive time for the miles rather than a scheduled service.

Temperature-controlled freight goes in a reefer, about 44,000 lb in the same footprint because of the unit, its fuel and the insulation, so a heavy load that just fits a van does not automatically fit a reefer. Anything over 13 ft 6 in tall, or that loads from the side or the top, goes on open deck.
