The run from the port to Miami Gardens
Most boxes for Miami Gardens come off PortMiami, about 20 road miles south, and it is a same day run up the Turnpike or State Road 826. Port Everglades is close enough that a Broward arrival can be paired on the same day, which is worth knowing if you have freight landing at both ports in the same week.
The container goes through on a chassis. Twenty miles does not justify a transload, and every extra handling of the freight is cost you would not get back. The box is delivered whole, unloaded live while the driver waits or dropped if your yard has the room, and the empty goes back to the terminal before the day ends.
Delivering in Miami Gardens
Miami Gardens is in northern Miami-Dade, sitting on the Florida Turnpike with State Road 826 and I-95 both minutes away and the Broward line just north. The industrial addresses here are generally easy to reach. What a receiver needs is the usual: a dock or a ground level plan with a forklift, and room for a 40 ft box on a chassis to come in, turn and leave.

平板车
最常用的敞开式平板，有48英尺和53英尺两种。可以从侧面、上方或者后面装货，货物高度超过8英尺6英寸就开始需要许可。
step deck 凹板车
主台板下沉，比普通平板车多出大约18英寸的合法装载高度。也叫 drop deck。
double drop 双下沉平板车
两段高台板之间是固定的凹槽，用来装高大件，且这类货不需要自己开上车。
低平板车（lowboy）
台面最低的一种挂车，用来运又高又重的机械。凹槽较短，所以限制通常是长度而不是重量。
Piggyback forklift
A rough-terrain forklift that rides on a mounting kit at the rear of the flatbed and unloads where there is no dock and no site equipment. The freight pays for it twice: in the surcharge and in the payload its weight displaces, which is why it is quoted only where it saves more than it costs.

控温厢式挂车，有48英尺和53英尺两种。冷藏集装箱的货换装之后继续走内陆段，换的就是这种车。

Can a Miami Gardens delivery be paired with a Port Everglades pull the same day?
Often, because Miami Gardens sits right under the Broward county line and Port Everglades is a short run north of it. If you have boxes landing at both ports in the same week, say so when you send the arrival notices, because the order the pulls are made in can save a day of free time rather than a few miles of driving. Gate hours and appointment slots at each terminal decide it.
How much room does a 40 ft container need at a Miami Gardens dock?
Think of the tractor and the chassis together as about seventy feet of vehicle that has to come in, line up square to a door and then get back out. Most industrial yards up here have that. Where it gets tight is a shared plaza or a small lot with trailers already parked in the apron. If you are not sure, send a photo of the approach along with the booking details.
