Questions
Straight answers
Where does the data come from?
From the FMCSA Motor Carrier Census and each carrier's live SAFER snapshot: the filings carriers make about themselves, under their own USDOT numbers. Every row links the federal record it came from.
How often are the rankings refreshed?
Quarterly: the census extract, the SAFER snapshots and the site checks are re-run and the as-of dates on each page move. A carrier whose filing changes moves at the next refresh.
